Guelph Music had its beginnings back in the spring of 1985.
On new year's eve 1984 we decided we would start a great music store. My long time friend and partner Grant MacNeill now operates the Twelfth Fret Guitar Shop in Toronto. Both Grant and I were raised in Guelph and had a real feel for the city and the needs of local musicians.
In the summer of 1985, we opened our doors on Carden street just a few doors down from our current location. The very next year we took over the 2000 sq. ft. store down the street.
Keeping it simple, honest and fair, having great products and prices and the best selection above everything has always been an important part of Guelph Music. We always hope we will know everyone by name and we spend the time with each customer to make sure their purchase suites their needs.
